JAMB Mock Exam 2026: What to Expect on March 28
JAMB's official mock exam is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026. This is a practice run for the real UTME (April 16–25), held at accredited CBT centres across Nigeria.
Whether you registered for the official mock or not, here's how to make the most of this period.
What Is the JAMB Mock Exam?
The mock exam is an optional practice test organized by JAMB for registered UTME candidates. It simulates the real exam experience:
- Same CBT interface as the actual UTME
- Same 4-subject format (Use of English + 3 subjects)
- Same time limit (2 hours)
- Held at real CBT centres
Your mock score does not count toward your admission. It's purely for practice.
Why the Mock Exam Matters
Even though the score doesn't count, the mock helps you:
- Get familiar with the CBT environment — the computers, the interface, the exam hall
- Manage time pressure — 2 hours for 4 subjects goes fast
- Identify weak spots — if you score low in a subject, you have 2-3 weeks to fix it before the real exam
- Reduce exam-day anxiety — the unknown is what makes people nervous
